Privacy Statement - Your Personal Data: What we need:
Taurus Technology Recruitment Ltd will be what’s known as the ‘Data Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We only collect basic personal data; this includes a copy of your CV, name, address, email and contact numbers etc. Upon the securing of a contract or permanent position via Taurus Technology we will need to collect further information such as (but not limited to) banking details, LTD company details, VAT certificate and proof of identity. Upon securing a placement, we may also need to share your name, address, email and telephone numbers with the Client who has secured your services along with possible government departments such as HMRC.
Why we need it:
As an IT recruitment agency, Taurus Technology will need to know your basic personal data in order to keep in regular contact regarding potential roles, we will also need to have an updated and accurate copy of your CV should you consent to Taurus Technology helping you find employment. We will not collect any personal data from you that could be viewed as unnecessary or inappropriate.
What we do with it:
Any personal data we process is then hosted on a single secure UK server, only Taurus Technology staff has access to this data. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. We have a data protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data including firewall, antivirus and email security. Any physical documentation provided is stored in locked secure cabinets within a locked and alarmed office.
How long we keep it:
Upon a successful placement we are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of six years. If we are no longer in regular contact at that point the data will then be destroyed.
Data Breaches:
We will report any unlawful data breach of this website’s database or the server database(s) of any of our third party data processors to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen.
What are your rights?
You have both the right to request for Taurus Technology to erase any and all personal data of yours at any time, and the right to view a copy of your personal data that Taurus Technology has stored at any time. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter. If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
